A unique geometry designed to maximize performance in the high pressure and abnormal clearance gap conditions that face seals are now exposed. It utilizes a triangular shaped PolyFluor™ ring energized by a uniquely shaped elastomer. This PolyFluor™ ring uses the full depth of the seal gland to optimize the material exposure and ensure maximum extrusion protection under the most adverse conditions. The unique elastomer provides seal force at low pressure and continuously forces the PolyFluor™ ring again.
The DeltaMod™ Face Seal elastomer element is availablein a wide variety of elastomeric materials e.g., nitrile, fluoroelastomer, ethylene propylene, etc. The PolyFluor™ ring element is available in most PolyFluor™ and some PolyTel™ materials.
Operating Ranges:
- Temperature: Approximately -65°F to +392°F (-54°C to +200°C), depending on the elastomer energizer compound
- Pressure: Up to 5,000 PSI (35 MPa)
